YOU WILL NEED:

A TOOL WITH MULTIPLE NEEDLES;

A FELTING BRUSH TO WORK ON;

AND PREFERABLY A SINGLE NEEDLE FOR DETAIL WORK.

The River Sunset picture represents the setting sun over a river estuary.
The picture is made using needle felting techniques. All the fibres are ready blended.

The picture is 38cm by 30 cm approximately.

You start with a piece of acrylic felt, which you lay your fibres on and then lay this onto a piece of sponge or felting brush. The felting brush is much easier to work on.
Then stab away with your needle felting tool.
A beginner could do it!

When all the fibres have been worked in you could do some free machine embroidery on it to highlight areas, or hand embroidery or even some beadwork, it all adds detail. But if you don't want to add anything it looks lovely just as it is.

The picture will need to be mounted before framing. It would probably look better in a deep frame.
